A digital EdTech platform for advancing girls and women in STEM: it connects schoolgirls and female students with women experts, researchers, and mentors in tech and science. The project is developed in partnership with Women in Tech, which helps build an expert base and test the collaboration model.

The platform runs on two tracks. Bottom-Up — a participant submits her own idea and finds an expert to help develop it. Top-Down — a mentor posts a research project or IT project, which a young woman joins as an assistant or intern. The key feature is a focus on a concrete outcome: a research paper, an IT prototype, or a social startup.

Mentors burn out

Long-term one-on-one mentoring drains experts' time and motivation. Mentors set their own limited number of slots per week (e.g., two 30-minute sessions) — keeping participation manageable.

No ready idea — no clear starting point

Girls without a clearly formed request are afraid to approach experts. Through the Top-Down track, they can join an existing research project or IT project led by a mentor.

A consultation ends up going nowhere

Conversations often turn into abstract advice with no applied output. Interaction is instead channeled into project format: the outcome is a research paper, a prototype, or a social startup.

Expertise is expensive

Global mentorship programs cost $1,000–5,000 a year and are out of reach for most students in the region. Dana Connect is free for participants.

Talent leaves the profession

A significant share of women leave the tech field within their first years of career. The platform provides a community, role models, and a measurable outcome — a reason to stay in STEM.

Project Forum and Research Database

A showcase of participants' ideas and mentors' active research and IT projects. Both tracks — Bottom-Up and Top-Down — live in a single catalog.

AI Assistant

Guides the participant through the platform, helps her formulate a project hypothesis, prepare a research profile, and select relevant learning materials.

AI Scoring and Certification

First level — automated project screening and scoring. Second level — evaluation by an independent expert review board and certification of the result.

Gamification and Showcase

Points, badges, and awards ("Top Project," "Top Mentor," "Innovation of the Year") instead of identical certificates. The best projects are featured on the Showcase for partners and sponsors.
